This festive period, 5Rise Shopping Centre & Library are teaming up with The Pulse & Pulse2 Radio Stations and The Junior Chamber of Commerce, to bring one of the most recognisable Toy Appeals to Bingley – SECRET SANTA!
The appeal is inviting people across the region to buy an extra gift for a child this Christmas who won’t be quite as fortunate as others. There will be special gift tags on trees in the main 5Rise shopping mall, and also in the entrance to the Library. People are encouraged to choose a tag, buy an appropriate gift and drop off at the 5Rise / Bingley Library, anytime up to the 10th December. The Junior Chamber will then distribute to worthy children’s charities and social services in time for Christmas.
Centre owner 4Urban, have also enlisted the services off the local Salvation Army and Beckfoot School Choir to make 5Rise feel even more festive, throughout the three-week appeal.
Richard Holmes, Director at 4Urban said, “Unfortunately, there’s still a number of unfortunate children throughout region. We are really proud to get involved with this appeal and hope that local people will show their support too. We appreciate that times are hard for everybody, however, it only needs to be one very small gift to make it very special for someone who doesn’t have anything at all.”
The Pulse will be at 5Rise every Friday and Saturday up to the 10th December to explain about the appeal and see how everyone can help.
